DVD Review - AAAAAH!! INDIE HORROR HITS, Volume 1
First I have to apologize profusely to Miguel from Crypt Club Productions. He sent me the great DVD of Indie Horror before Christmas. While Christmas is a busy time I did manage to finish watching the DVD in January I've been pretty busy lately, hence my lack of posting.
So let me start my new year's posting by talking about this DVD. I'm a big fan of a lot of Indie films. A friend of mine got me hooked on them a while back. As such Indie Horror films are also right up my alley.
And this DVD is no exception. It contains a couple hours (almost) worth of short films.
Some of my favorites include "The Crypt Club", about an iniation that goes horribly wrong. "Ghost Busted", a short but twisted little film. "My Skin!", a kinda creepy, WTF type of film that makes you go "hmmm", and a bunch more.
Just because these are short films - some only a few minutes long - doesn't mean they couldn't be full length features. A couple of them have so much packed into them you'll think you've seen an entire movie in the time it takes to watch the shorter version.

One such film is "Old Friends" which is about a family trying to survive a plague. More seems to happen during this 15 minute film than you'd see in a lot of longer movies, but it also has a gripping ending.
"The Ninth Entry" is also one of those "wow I can't believe how much happened in such a short time" types of films. When you start to watch it, it's as if you already know that a lot that has gone on. In fact it almost seems like a long Movie trailer as you watch it. It's almost as if the film's producer was forced to cut out a bunch of really good stuff to make it show in the time alotted.
Of course this isn't the case - it's meant to be short, but it's another where you can see that if you add in some back story and fill the holes it could easily be feature length.
My favorite of the short films is "Oculus". It's about a guy's obsession with a mirror and what he claims are it's extraordinary powers. Some would say supernatural powers. It is a well done movie with great acting and an original story. Plus the end will blow your mind. You may never look at another mirror the same way again.
The best part of this DVD is the price - for under $20 US you get not one, but many awesome films.
I highly recommend this set for any indie film fan, especially if they are fans of indie horror.

Don't you acknowledge that it's correct time to get the personal loans, which can make your dreams come true.
If you want to buy a car, you would have to get the home loans. Moreover, my sister commonly utilizes a short term loan, which occurs to be the most useful.
Some time before, I did need to buy a building for my firm but I did not earn enough money and could not order something. Thank heaven my colleague adviced to take the home loans from reliable bank. Therefore, I did that and used to be satisfied with my short term loan.
Set your life more easy take the home loans and all you require.
