The mission of the Viscera Film Festival is to give recognition through participating sponsors, awards, and distribution for today's female horror filmmakers making a difference in the genre.
 

Viscera accepts any films that showcase women in major roles of production (i.e. writer, director, and producer). There is also the coveted "Viscera Award" offering a monetary award to the winning film involving female only productions. There are NO ENTRY FEES, and submissions close on December 31, 2008.
