Haunted House Reviews - The Horror Haunted House - Austin, TX
The Horror Haunted House
For the Horror Haunted House there are two parts. One is the Horror Haunted House the other is the Dementia.
The location of the Haunted house isn't the greatest as it is set foot across the mall. That being said I felt the lobby area of each one should have been decorated. The lobby area of both were not decorated that much and tickets were mainly sold inside instead of outside. I felt that the tickets that were being sold should be outside in a booth of some sort and the inside of both places should be decorated in a way to give a scarier experience instead of just feeling like your in an empty building filled with cob webs.
The first area is the Dementia. This wasn't as scary as I expected. Going through the place I almost could detect when someone would jump out and at one point actually saw the actor through the shower curtain in one area and knew he was going to jump out as I saw him moving so that really ruined the scary experience of someone jumping out at you unexpectedly. The actors were decent and the costumes were ok but the initial place wasn't that scary. The light affects were pretty good as I definitely could not see where I was going, and made it a bit scary to go through, but overall it was too short and really wasn't that scary.
The second area is the Horror Haunted House. In all honesty this one was pretty hard for me to describe as I felt like I wasn't scared at all and there really wasn't anything too memorable about the experience. I remember that it was a bit short and the actors were pretty decent and would interact with you well, but overall not scary. I also felt like I was in a haunted house and didn't have the experience where a place is so scary you forget it's a haunted house. The whole time I knew I was in a haunted house, and wasn't really scared and honestly felt it wasn't adult enough.
