Alien Siege - DVD Review
So I got this movie late last week and my first thought was "generic American's take on the aliens and win" movie. After all, it has Carl Weathers. I mean, come on, how much more American can you get right?
But I thought I'd give it a chance anyways. And you know what? It was actually pretty good.
Now I'm not saying it's Oscar material or anything like that, but it does have a decent story and some good acting (except for one extra early on in the movie).
The story is about an alien race which "forces" the different countries of the world to volunteer humans as medicine to help the aliens cure themselves. Failure to provide the humans would result in a large laser being fired at your country, wiping you out.
The aliens look very human, which is fine, and the technology is cool. The special effects in this movie are very good. There are a couple points in the movie where you feel they stretched the story just a little, but overall it works just fine.
I guess my only real concern with the movie is how they portray American's as the only one's who seem to resist the rules somewhat. Of course, maybe that isn't the case, but that's the way the movie portrays the situation. In reality I think you'd see a lot of resistance throughout the world.
but that aside, if you like alien movies you might like this one.
