Yes it's true Michael Myers is back and I have to say he's better than ever. Rob Zombie, the director of the new Halloween movie, has done a great job of not only revisiting and improving what Halloween was when it first came out in 1978, but has added another dimension to the Halloween story.
As everyone knows, Michael Myers dons a Halloween mask and on Halloween (the day) he goes on a killing spree. But what many have wondered (myself included) is how Michael became such a sadistic madman. Director Zombie tells us this story and more. Telling us how Michael had a screwed up childhood and how he took it upon himself at a young age to fix it.
So I learned a valuable lesson crow does not go good with coffee this early in the morning. Why am I eating crow?

Check this out. You know the show Paranormal we were dissing on a couple of weeks ago well it looks like they are doing some really cool ads for the show. Literally creeping people out of their skin as they walk around to promote A&E's new show....
Mounted above the billboard, the system projects an isolated beam of sound down onto a targeted area of the sidewalk - from seven stories up! People who pass by the billboard are startled and entertained by the sudden message, and their attention is drawn directly to the billboard itself. Meanwhile, quiet is preserved for all of the neighbors. The sound of a women's voice whispers, "Who's that? Who's There? ...It's not your imagination." The chilling message draws your attention to a billboard for A&E's television series "Paranormal State," a show featuring real life mysteries of cases that include poltergeists, ghosts, and hauntings.

How cool would that be for your Haunted Attraction?

Seriously people? Well the more I see of this movie the more it does look okay. As you know this movie is based on the book by Richard Matheson that I took my online name from. BUT if this movie sucks you know people are going to be harassing us. Oh well. Roll the clip people....
Sigh....here's hoping. ....
So I got this movie late last week and my first thought was "generic American's take on the aliens and win" movie. After all, it has Carl Weathers. I mean, come on, how much more American can you get right?
But I thought I'd give it a chance anyways. And you know what? It was actually pretty good.
Now I'm not saying it's Oscar material or anything like that, but it does have a decent story and some good acting (except for one extra early on in the movie).
The story is about an alien race which "forces" the different countries of the world to volunteer humans as medicine to help the aliens cure themselves. Failure to provide the humans would result in a large laser being fired at your country, wiping you out.

Can't wait for this one.

In the meantime, check out the Halloween Movie website.

I've had this DVD around for a few days so I thought I'd stick it in the DVD player this weekend. The synopsis explains like this:
"Two young couples set out to explore the jungles of New Guinea in search of Michael Rockefeller, heir to the Rockefeller fortune who disappeared there over 40 years ago. To their horror, their hunt for a big payday turns them into the hunted as the native cannibals follow their every move and unfathomable bloodshed waits at the gory end. "
It looks a lot like Blair Witch but with a few twists.
