Haunted Attraction Reviews - Pitch Dark - Austin, TX

::Editors Note: I am reviewing some really cool Haunted Attractions this year however I have worked in Haunted Attractions so it's very rare I will use the term "Scary". But if your in the
business then there are the reviews for you. If your the general public here's a hint: If I rate it
over a 6 you WILL be scared and you will SCREAM. Above a 7 means you might just pass out with fear....::

You gotta give props where props are due and in this case roll out the prop machine to deliver massive props to the folks over at the Mansion of Terror. In this case I am talking about their Haunted Attraction called "Pitch Dark 2". In this innovative Haunted Attraction you are in complete darkness with only a lantern to light your way. The way it works is this place is set up a giant pitch black maze and you only get one lantern per person to light your way. This is no ordinary lantern as the actors and props can turn it off and on at command leaving you and your group in complete darkness. This works particularly well when you shine it in a corner to reveal something really horrifying only to have the lantern turn off in the blink of eye. Of course then you are left in complete darkness WITH whatever is in the room with you...a truly cool experience. The only negative I have for Pitch Dark is that the night I went the concept was really explained to my group and the actors seemed to be a little too laid back. If they would of mixed the actors and costumes from Vicious T. Mangle with Pitch Dark it would of been a 9.

Alas I can only give Pitch Dark a 7.5 out of 10. Which is still a great score and mean you need to go check it out. The Mansion is located at I-35 Exit 251 Behind Walgreens in Sky Ridge Plaza in Austin, TX. Tix are $12.00.
