Haunted Attraction Reviews - House of Torment - Austin, TX

::Editors Note: I am reviewing some really cool Haunted Attractions this year however I have worked in Haunted Attractions so it's very rare I will use the term "Scary". But if your in the
business then there are the reviews for you. If your the general public here's a hint: If I rate it
over a 6 you WILL be scared and you will SCREAM. Above a 7 means you might just pass out with fear....::

I visited the original "House of Torment" last week and was in for quite a surprise. The boys and girls over HOT have really stepped up their game with regards to costumes and set design. Much like a good horror film any good Haunted Attractions is all about building a mood. With sets and costumes' comparable to Universal's Hollywood Horror Nights HOT is all about setting a great mood. Just check out some of the costumes and characters you may meet when you drop by the Haunt. The cool part is that those are not just publicity photos those are the real deal. However once again my major complaint is that on the night I went there was none of the signature harassment from the HOT gang. No one jumped down above me or slid across the floor to really scare the crap out of me. However the gang over at HOT has really stepped up their use of Video as I mentioned in an earlier review. From the cue line to having a video give you the instructions they really did a sweet job of using multimedia to put you in the mood. Also they are open till Nov 3rd.

All in all I rate the House of Torment a 7.5 out of 10. Which means it's well worth your hard earned cash. It's located in Austin, TX at 523 Highland Mall Blvd, Austin, TX 78752.
