Ok - Sorry for the long delay in posts!
We have been busy - After Transworld I had a lot of buying, negotiating and thinking to do! We made several purchases at Transworld and a few more left to do - Supplying new props for Memphis, Chattanooga and some other items in the mix - We are spending more than we would want to admit to!
Transworld is hard to express how important and great it is for a Haunter to attend. All the Haunter Conventions have something for everyone - So if you want to break into this market - ATTEND Conventions put on by or for Haunters.
~~Back to The Update~~
We finalized scripts - and are filming our "Sexy Reporter:" spot tomorrow night at Ruby Falls. We have around 15 girls trying out for the spot - so it may be tough to narrow it down; but it's nice to have a good turnout! I'll post some pictures from the video shoot in a few days.
We have a couple other spots to film and then our production team will go to work on the true magic!
We will hit the cave hard this weekend in preperation to undergo full construction mode. My calendar has us a little behind schedule - but I believe we can have 50% of the cave complete by the end of May. We are prepping the articles for our newspaper that will need to go to print by June/July. And we have our "Junkyard" seeking out our cars, barrels, spare parts, and fencing that will fill in our outdoor junkyard. My other cohorts are trying to develop "Slider" gear. We are close to designing a $100 pair of slider gloves and $100 pads. A lot cheaper than the ones we could have bought... I'll keep ya posted if that comes around! Plus we have an Elevator simulator (Similar to the Hellevator) that we have built for under $1,500! We have to add sound and the framework - so in all we should have a complete design for under $5,000- How about that?!
The website is undergoing major re-vamping from our pals w/ The Village of Darkness. We hope it will be 75% functional by May 16th. Our merchandise section will be focused on those "hard to find" or outrageously priced items. And we hope to get a few of our "HOW TO's" up there also - *Note to self - Write those articles!* ;)
And as always - don't hesitate to e-mail us on any items you may want us to promote or carry OR on "how to" do something... I'l try to make time to help out a fellow haunter!
I'm also preparing my presentation for HAUNTCON in Denver - (Which I relaized today is a mere month away!) And we are trying to secure the Memphis location as well as the Halloween Store location here in - Nooga! My last vacation time will be in June when we hit Orlando for a week.
We are negotiaing the Halloween Store location and contracts and we will need to start that prep work too...
As you can see - It's nearly a full time job trying to keep pace and bring your dreams to reality - but aske me if it's worth it?! :)
In your spare time check out the website and let me know if you like the re-design!http://www.hauntedweb.com
