Hey Mr. Nightmarez here. Just wanted to start this journey. We have been working toward 2006 since the close of the haunt and store last season. I've already been to New Jersey (Spencer's Corporate HQ) for a meeting regarding changes and new products for Spirit Halloween in 2006. My partner in fear, Patrick French and I started negotiations w/ Ruby Falls to design and manage their huge attraction in 2006 also. I also own a Haunted House in Memphis and it will retain a similar layout to last year, with a few minor changes. I have asked a local haunt enthusiast, Tim Green to assist me with the Ruby Falls venture and managing during the season. I will still work the Spirit Halloween store some days - but let my wife manage it. My primary focus is to make Ruby Falls Haunted Cavern a premier event for Chattanooga and East Tennessee.

February 17th through 19th - 2006
Not even an Ice Storm can prevent a die hard haunter from getting the job done! My partner, Pat drove in from Memphis Friday night slipping and sliding all the way to Chattanooga. We have an 8am appointment to begin planning, designing and inspecting the Ruby Falls Haunted Cavern...continue reading.....
Ruby Falls is a premiere national attraction that attracts tourism all year. http://www.rubyfalls.com
Ruby Falls decided to re-open the Haunted Cavern in 2004.....Saturday found us sliding UP the mountain where we met our 3rd Fiend in Crime, Tim Green. Tim is an ex-Airborne Ranger who has had the Scare Bug since he was 6 years old. Tim has developed his home haunt into a massive Halloween Night attraction over the years.
Tim nor Pat have had the opportunity to view the Cavern during the light; we attended last year's event, but to physically view the potential and beauty of the cave in the light is awe-inspiring. I could sense the pure excitement from both of them as I explained the layout and as we entered the elevator to descend to the cave.
We spent several hours making notes to how we will bring a new level of fear to our guests in 2006. The mere fact that you have to descend into a cave opens up a new level of fear in it's own. We have come up with 18 scenes and several scenes will be developed into story boards over the next few weeks. I will start my scene budgets, so we can allow enough money to make a complete horrorfying experience from beginning to end. The cave will take our victims to a new level of fear... And all is good.
As we exited, we had one more area that will be developed into a haunting experience. Next to Ruby Falls is a parking lot that will house two tents and an outdoor section that will be unlike any haunt Chattanooga has seen. We measured our area and after putting up our two 20'x40' tents we will probably have another 20'x40' to work with for our outdoor section. This section will not begin construction until a few weeks prior to opening, but we will have it all constructed and designed long before then.
Our first weekend of design and planning has begun and we have a long way to go.

Wow. That will be one sweet haunted house. Won't it be freezing in the winter?
Actually the temperature maintains 70 Degrees year round! So not a problem - the cave in itself is approximately 200 Yards Long. After the 200+ foot descent in an elevator.
That's really sick. I am going to keep tuning in. Personally I don't think it's gonna work in that cave.
Out of everything on the net this collection of articles I can't wait to read...sounds awesome so far!
Thanks! We are working on the story boards and preparing our "shopp ing list" for Transworld.
We will also be at Hauntcon in Denver doing a seminar -
More soon and Pics too!
